Analytics in healthcare has become the central point of focus in the medical care environment in the 21st century. This is due to the numerous associated benefits regarding the quality of care provided, patient satisfaction as well as the cost spent in delivering the care. The four types of healthcare data include pharmaceutical, claims and costs, clinical and research & development (Mega, 2015). Analysis of each of these data is equally important for making the care delivery process convenient. This paper seeks to evaluate how clinical data analytics helps improve the healthcare service delivery process in medical centers.

Clinical data analytics

Clinical data analytics is always aimed at evaluating the possible care options available and verifying the best step. This makes it very important in the care delivery process in various dimensions (Davidian, 2017). First, by enabling an accurate selection of caregiving methods, instances of accidents in the healthcare environment are reduced. Several cases have been reported where patients are given the wrong dosage, worsening their health status. Therefore, the patients receiving medical services get satisfied with the quality as there is no side effect of the care process involved.

Clinical data analytics also enables timely service delivery at affordable costs. Without proper clinical analytics, the chances of going around giving many forms of care to a particular patient exist. However, with data analytics, the procedures involved in service delivery are not based on trial and error. The care process recommended solves the patient’s problem in just one step (Davidian, 2017). Also, minimal resources are incurred by health personnel during the procedures. This, therefore, means that both time and resources are saved courtesy of clinical data analytics. It is, therefore, worthy for every healthcare personnel to deliver his or her contribution toward promoting clinical data analytics.
